GDC: Nintendo Revolution to play Nintendo, Genesis, TurboGrafx games

Nintendo Revolution to play Nintendo, Genesis, TurboGrafx games

Last year at E3, Nintendo announced you'd be able to download old-era Nintendo games from all previous consoles (Nintendo 64, SNES, and NES) through their new Revolution console this fall. At the Game Developers Conference this week, Nintendo Prez Satoru Iwata said former hardware rivals -- Sega (Genesis) and Hudson (TurboGrafx) -- will make part of their back catalog available for download on the Revolution. Supposedly, more than 1,000 games from Sega, and an unknown number from Hudson.

Pretty cool, could be a console seller, and may impact Xbox Live Arcade in a big way ...
